There are two great privileges that God has given to man. The first is salvation which is the privilege to enter an intimate and eternal relationship with God, to be unified with Him in love through Christ Jesus. The second greatest privilege is to serve God with good works (James 2:14), which He performs through us as we allow Him to do so.
Our Mission at Advancing Inmate Ministries (AIM) from Jesus is to take the gospel to both neighborhood (Matt 28:19) and to the prisons. (Matt 25:36)
AIM ministries believe that change comes from within, not just spiritually but also when it comes to sociological problems. Here in the US as of 2017, 26 million people have a felony record, including those who have been to prison, jail or on felony probation. This statistic alone shows the huge need for more of God’s love and transforming power in the specific area of prison ministry.
One of our core beliefs in accomplishing God’s will in this area is through prison partnership. Partnership is often overlooked, yet vitally important aspect of New Testament Christianity. Although the ministry of Paul and other prominent New Testament leaders was in some ways unique and therefore in some ways unrepeatable, the pattern of partnership is repeatable. God still provides suitably gifted people to facilitate such partnership today.
We also believe in partnering with local churches to help equip and establish prison ministry programs within the local church institution, as well as providing partnering opportunities to bring the Word and Love of God to those who are incarcerated.
We at AIM would like to partner with you to establish a family of believers committed to serve those at Polunsky and other prison facilities.
